The Barna Group has tracked American culture and the Church in regards to biblical worldview issues for years and trends are not encouraging. Americans, and sadly born-again believers, are critically lacking in the basic tenets of the Christian faith. The Church must take action to reverse this trend.

The worldview crisis in the body of Christ also includes basic biblical literacy. A recent Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life study found that Protestants knew less about their own religion than did atheists or agnostics.
