Rick Warren Endorses CA's Prop 8 Marriage Amendment
We applaud Rick Warren's recent endorsement of Proposition 8, California's marriage amendment. I pray that more pastors will take an open stand in encouraging their congregations to vote for legislation which promotes biblical morality and against legislation that is contrary to it. Legalized homosexual marriage is being used to persecute Christians and we must lovingly take a stand, in unity, or we will lose our freedom of religious expression.
Pastor Warren points out that all Christians should care about biblical morality. The bible clearly teaches that marriage is only between one man and one woman and we have a responsibility to vote for prop 8. He also says, "This is not a political issue -- it is a moral issue that God has spoken clearly about."
