Statistics show that between 60-80% of young people will leave the church when they leave home. Many experts have expressed concern about the next generation. David Kinnaman of the Barna Group recently said,

There have been 3 Great Awakenings in America. Massive moves of God throughout the Evangelical Church where significant numbers of the population came to a saving knowledge of Christ. The common thread with all of them is that they were birthed in prayer.

The Barna Group has tracked American culture and the Church in regards to biblical worldview issues for years and trends are not encouraging. Americans, and sadly born-again believers, are critically lacking in the basic tenets of the Christian faith. The Church must take action to reverse this trend.
