Announcing the Keynote Speakers – 12th Christian Youth Summit

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Mary Jo Sharp, President of Confident Christianity, and Nathan Betts, Youth Director for Ravi Zacharias Ministries, will be the keynote speakers for Prepare the Way’s 12th annual Christian Youth Summit in Bend, OR.  They both tackle difficult topics in a way that appeals to students.

Every year, Prepare the Way Ministries brings together hundreds of youth and adults for a weekend that explores challenging questions about the Christian faith. Registration is now LIVE for the Christian Youth Summit.  The event will take place Friday evening and all day Saturday, March 8-9, 2019.

From the Confident Christianity website, “Mary Jo is a former atheist from the Pacific Northwest, who thought religion was odd at best. She now holds a Masters in Christian Apologetics and is an assistant professor of apologetics at Houston Baptist University.” She founded Confident Christianity, a Christian apologetics ministry that addresses the hard questions of Christianity through research, writing, training and debate. Nathan Betts is an apologist with RZIM. He speaks frequently across the US and Canada. His focus areas include the interface of faith and culture, digital technology and belief, and youth apologetics.

Registration is free and required to attend. Just click the Eventbrite button on our web page.

For the past several years, we have offered this event for FREE in order to reach more students with the life-changing, faith-building messages delivered at the Summit. If you would like to sponsor a student(s) to attend the Summit, the real cost is $50/student. Please click here to donate and impact the faith of the next generation.

TESTIMONIES

“I have NEVER been to a conference where I walked away with such great confidence that the kids I brought both gleaned truth and had fun.  I have been to many many different conferences and youth events, some of them big name ones, some smaller;  this was by far the most useful, spiritually uplifting youth event that I have ever been to. EVER!!!! No conference has ever (until now) provided to me or to the young kids that I minster to, the historical, scientific, logical reasons to believe in Christ. The kids I brought were blessed…”       – Youth pastor

“The first year I attended the Summit in 8th grade I had no idea about the challenges I would face concerning my faith in the next four years as I entered high school…because of the Youth Summit I was prepared for challenges to my faith that came along. Having been going to the Youth Summit for the past four years, I am now more equipped than ever to stand firm in my faith as I enter into our world with a Christian worldview that has been built on a firm foundation…”   – 16 year old

As an adult, I have attended the youth summit for over a decade and have greatly benefited in the topic of apologetics and the importance of drawing near to God.

Every aspect of the summit has been excellent: the quality of the speakers, the material and topics covered (eternally beneficial!), the notebooks, the schedule which allows for variety and choices, and even the food and snacks! Kids get to see that they are not alone in their faith – the conference hall is filled with others who share their beliefs and who are striving to walk the narrow road which leads to life. And amazingly, this incredible experience is offered to adults and kids for free!

In this toxic culture, it is crucial that kids be able to defend their faith. The Youth Summits goes all out to make that a reality.
