Encore Theatre Company presents “The Gift of the Magi,” a wonderfully written story by O. Henry, carefully adapted by Jon Jory, and masterfully directed by Allyson Swales, and performing at the historic Boys & Girls Club of Downtown Bend.
$10 for adults, and $7.50 for children and seniors.
Jim and Della eat potatoes for dinner every night and stuff their boots with newspaper to get by, but everything they want is for each other. They’re so head-over-heels in love they can make a cozy home in turn-of-the-century New York with little more than the coins in their jam jar. But what’s to be done about Christmas? When a strange twist of fate leads the young couple to find the perfect gifts for one another at an unexpected cost, Jim and Della learn the true meaning of the holiday. Classic Christmas carols punctuate this sweet and joyful retelling of the O. Henry story.

You may purchase tickets online or at the door. Please print out your tickets and bring them with you to your performance. The doors will open a half hour before each listed showtime. Seating is not reserved, so please select your seats upon arrival.
