(8:20) General Session #2: Monique Duson {Co-Founder Center for Biblical Unity} – Bringing Clarity to Race: Monique Duson will share about her life growing up in South Los Angeles, working in social service, and her struggle to put Christ first in all things, even her ethnicity.

SATURDAY, April 9
(9:00 AM) Welcome Back & Worship Music
(9:20) General Session #3: Alan Shlemon {Author, Speaker Stand to Reason} – Ambassadors for Christ: Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:20 that we are all ambassadors for Christ. That means we represent Jesus in everything we do and say. If that’s true, how well do you represent your King? What kind of ambassador are you for Jesus? Alan will explain our identity in Christ and three essential skills that are necessary to represent Him in a persuasive, yet winsome way.

(10:30) Breakout Sessions with 5 Different Talks to Choose From (at 10:30 a.m. & 2 p.m.):
Monique Duson {Co-Founder Center for Biblical Unity} – Identity Theft (morning only): Monique will share about God’s vision for your true identity.
Alan Shlemon {Author, Speaker Stand to Reason} – Bulletproof  (afternoon only): When your students leave the comfort of a Christian home or education, who is waiting for them at college? Are they prepared? Virtually every study says they’re not. Students are typically ill-equipped to handle the challenges to their Christian convictions. Alan will explain what is causing students to ditch their faith and what we can do about it. With the right training from teachers, parents, and church leaders, young believers can withstand the assault and make a positive impact for Christ. Alan will equip you with a five-part strategy for training young believers so that their faith is bulletproof. Note: this presentation is geared for parents, youth leaders, teachers, school staff, or pastors.
Roy Swart {Founder Ambassadors Forum} – The War Between Science and The Bible: Our culture often claims that science and the Bible are in CONFLICT.  Come learn how this is IMPOSSIBLE, and also how to effectively refute this common misperception!
Mike Caba {D.A. Philosophy & Religion} – Archaeology and the Bible: An examination of 20 archaeological artifacts that support the historical reliability of the Bible and also help us to better understand the Bible.
Christian Harris {Youth Pastor} – Purity (Male Only): Living for God with strength and purity.
Jordyn Glaser {Eastmont Women’s Ministry} – Identity-You are not the hero of the story-and that’s a good thing! (Female Only): God never intended for us to find our identity in the things of this world or for us to be “enough” on our own–He has a far greater plan than that.

(11:30) Lunch Provided
(12:35) General Session #4: Alan Shlemon {Author, Speaker Stand to Reason} – Tactics In Defending the Faith: Have you ever been tongue-tied in a conversation about your faith or convictions? Are you ever unsure how to respond when someone challenges your religious beliefs? You’re not alone. There are some simple tactics – tools to maneuver in conversation – that can help you engage people on any topic. In this talk, Alan will show you how simple questions can help you productively advance a conversation about your faith. You’ll walk away feeling more confident and better equipped to make an impact on any topic and with anyone.

TESTIMONIES

“I have NEVER been to a conference where I walked away with such great confidence that the kids I brought both gleaned truth and had fun.  I have been to many many different conferences and youth events, some of them big name ones, some smaller;  this was by far the most useful, spiritually uplifting youth event that I have ever been to. EVER!!!! No conference has ever (until now) provided to me or to the young kids that I minster to, the historical, scientific, logical reasons to believe in Christ. The kids I brought were blessed…”       – Youth pastor

“The first year I attended the Summit in 8th grade I had no idea about the challenges I would face concerning my faith in the next four years as I entered high school…because of the Youth Summit I was prepared for challenges to my faith that came along. Having been going to the Youth Summit for the past four years, I am now more equipped than ever to stand firm in my faith as I enter into our world with a Christian worldview that has been built on a firm foundation…”   – 16 year old
