The Problem of Evil – Preparing for Challenging Conversations
Around Christmas, we are often interacting with family and friends who are not Christians. In our experience, one of the most common questions we have been asked over the years about our Christian faith has been about the problem of evil. Especially in these tumultuous times, the problem of evil often makes its way into conversations. Many people question how there could be a good God in the face of such evil. In 1 Peter 3:15, the Bible exhorts us to “always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is within you, but do it courteously and respectfully.” As we are traveling or just preparing for the holidays, just a little preparation for those common tough questions can go a long way.
