Update: Oregon Supreme Court Issues Stay (pause) on Striking Down Governors Emergency Orders

Late last night, the Oregon Supreme Court issued a stay (hold/pause) on the ruling by the Baker County Circuit Judge that struck down all of Governor Brown’s unconstitutional emergency orders. The Oregon Supreme Court will likely decide this case either late Friday or next week. Given that several of the justices on the Oregon high court have been appointed by Gov. Brown, it is likely that the righteous ruling of Judge Matthew Shirtcliff will get overturned. We then have the option of appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court, where we have a better chance that the judges will fairly evaluate the logic of the arguments, based on the merits of the case, not on a liberal agenda.

Please pray for a miracle at the Oregon Supreme Court, where reason and logic will prevail instead of judicial activism. Stephen has been thoroughly blessed by so much encouraging support, but has also been saddened by the level of hatred, including near death threats. In Oregon, where tolerance and inclusion are supposedly valued, there is a stunning amount of anti-Christian bigotry that goes unreported. We would cherish your prayers not only for our family, but for all believers to stand united in love for justice and righteousness and the cause of the Gospel.
