Join with Christians across the United States of America in prayer this Thursday, May 2. Our nation has an amazing heritage of prayer and this national holiday is a reflection of that history.

For the Bend/Redmond area consider attending a gathering at Drake park near downtown Bend. Stephen Williams will be giving the opening message and prayer just after Noon. He’ll be briefly quoting some of the founders on prayer and looking at the amazing Christian roots of our nation… President Abraham Lincoln’s prayer proclamation of 1863 “…to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.

Noon – 1 PM Drake Park, Free, Bend, Oregon. Also in Bend, prayer breakfast at the Riverhouse. Paid, ticketed, event.

Redmond: Prayer breakfast paid event at 6:30am. Noon to 1 PM Highland Baptist Church main sanctuary, free. Evening, Redmond Community Prayer gathering 6 – 7 pm, free, at Central Christian School.

    Thank you, Steven, for keeping the National Day of Prayer as a focus tomorrow. I’m disappointed that churches aren’t having events…that I know of.
