“See You at the Pole” this Wednesday – “Bring Your Bible Day” October 3
When I was a public school teacher, I loved every opportunity I had to pray with students and there were many legal ways to do just that. One great way is “See You at the Pole Day,” which is this Wednesday. “Bring Your Bible Day” is also coming up soon, which highlights students’ rights to live out their faith in secular settings.
For nearly three decades, students have been gathering annually at their flagpole to pray for their schools. Teachers are allowed to attend during non-instructional time. Check out the resource page we’ve created to help all Christians navigate the public school system:

We encourage everyone to participate and pray at your local schools’ flag pole prior to the start of the school day. Our schools desperately needs prayer so whether it’s this Wednesday or a different day… we encourage everyone to pray!
Another great opportunity to live out your faith in public schools is “Bring Your Bible Day,” which highlights student’s legal rights in public schools. Students have the legal right to bring Bibles to schools, read them, write papers or create artwork that highlight their faith, and more. Yet many students and parents do not realize the rights they have. Sadly, many teachers and administrators also do not know these rights and chastise students who bring their Bibles to school or do assignments that reference the Bible. This day is a great educational opportunity on many fronts.
